In Solomon Islands- one stop to go!

Up and off from Kiribati
Beautiful!
A couple features that stick out here- (1) – driving somewhere can take a long time as there is only one road around the island- regardless of the time in the day and- (2) so so so many stay dogs! Tarawa is known for its many stray dog
Last bit of Kiribati
Flying approximately 1100 nautical miles across the Pacific from Kiribati to the Solomon Islands. It’s truly amazing the vast expanse of ocean between islands. ( not to mention not only how wide but how deep this Ocean is – averaging around 14000 feet deep- the deepest in the world)
Just gotta love this little island:). One of the 1000 islands in this country (which includes 6 large islands).
90% of these islands are dense untouched rainforests with a rich biodiversity- volcanoes rare fauna and unique birds.
Landing in the capital city Honiara

A night in Honiara and early tomorrow morning the plan is to fly to Cairns and then Meereba to MAF.

An important note as we fly N97PN these last legs in this ferry flight- the PN in the registration stands for Profielnorm, a Dutch family company started in 1997, who donated this aircraft to MAF.
