Sunday afternoon in Hawaii and we were fortunate to able to confirm fuel and landing permits all the way to Cairns, Australia! The way the permit and fuel confirmations went – Kiribati and not Marshall Islands.

6 am tomorrow morning we will set off for Tarawa, Kiribati and then the following day – the plan is Solomon Islands, and then the day following Australia!
Kiribati is a Pacific island nation the comprises of 32 atolls that spreads across all 4 hemispheres! Over half the population lives in Tarawa. Kiribati’s is known for its vast ocean territory which is scattered over 3.4 million square kilometres. It is also one of the world’s most vulnerable countries to the rising sea levels due as it is only 3 meters above sea level.

13 hour flight tomorrow – plane is ready and off we plan to go!
