A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

Woke up in Albuquerque- and set off on a beautiful flight across America to Santa Maria California

Departing Albuquerque
New Mexico
Canyons of New Mexico
The colours and textures are remarkable
Long road in the desert towards Flagstaff
Flying across Arizona- I noticed this hole from a long ways off – thinking a mine or something- but actually it is the Barringer Crater – the best preserved meteorite site on earth!
It’s about 3,900 feet in diameter and 560 feet deep
Interesting circles in the dessert close to the crater
Close to Sedona, Arizona
Copper mine in Bagdad Arizona
A road of trucks and a train through the dessert
The light in the distance is a huge solar farm near Vegas, Nevada in the Mojave desert that you can see from miles away
More shapes and textures of the desert
Solar panels and wind farms of California
Beautiful fields of California
Landing in Santa Maria, California. A massive water bomber
Met up with and having a picnic with friends Dan and Bev Rutherford who helped get the plane ready for tomorrow’s flight across the Pacific. The hotel we stay at is right by the tarmac
Fully filling the aircraft and ferry tanks in preparation for tomorrows 14 plus hour flight to Hawaii
Moon in the sky

  1. Awesome, safe flight guys. I just got back from flying to Maui. 6 hours from Vancouver Island going / 5 back. So 14 hours, wow that’s a long flight! God protect you
