Fuelling in Sri Lanka.

We decided to make a change in our flight plan so while in Colombo we spent much of our time re routing the flight. We were planning to fly to Malaysia next – however – now we will fly to the most western part of Indonesia- Banda Aceh. This requires applying for new flight permits and necessary visas. We will wait to see if they come for tomorrow’s departure plan.

This is the second re route. Initially we had planned to stop in Pakistan- however because the conflict between India and Pakistan and the restrictions placed over their airspace we changed to fly to Egypt and Oman.

In the late afternoon we had a chance to see a bit of Colombo. I will share a few of the sights. What a wonderful impression we had of Sri Lanka. Food is so so good- people very friendly – and the roads- despite the traffic – surprisingly calm and pedestrian friendly. There seems to be quite a bit of new development .
